What happens when phosphate precipitates?
The precipitation of methyl phosphate is a physical-chemical reaction in which phosphate and trivalent metal salt are precipitated. Use non-hazardous iron (III) and aluminum salts at the same time. When metal salts are introduced, positively charged metal ions are formed, and they react with negative phosphate ions. The resulting insoluble metal phosphate precipitates out in the form of flocs.
The precipitant must be quickly introduced at the corresponding location so that the ions can fully react with each other. This is followed by a flocculation stage, during which fine precipitates can aggregate to form precipitated flocs.
