Solution
Advantages of Shunzi mechanical diaphragm metering pump and device for preservative injection:
Due to the high pressure required for injection and some of the preservative components are carcinogenic (such as chromate, hydrazine), the completely leak-free LEWA diaphragm pump becomes an ideal applicable equipment.
Special anti-corrosion materials can be used (hastelloy valve seat, oxidized ceramic valve ball)
Designed for extreme temperatures
It can replace the so-called flow distributor, which saves space and is economical: multiple pumps can inject anticorrosives in multiple lines, and multiple pumps can be equipped with backup pump heads, which can be switched through valves to quickly and reliably inject into any injection pipeline .
For fast flow cleaning and metering, we recommend the use of 2/6 pole motor metering pumps or systems, which will provide you with cost-effective fast flow cleaning metering and normal high flow metering operations
Process description
The difference between anode and cathode corrosion inhibitors:
Cathodic preservatives are mainly used in oil and gas production
In offshore oilfields, production sites are moving towards deep-sea operations. Thereby increasing the removal pressure. Usually 160-250 bar is sufficient on land, and the pressure at sea often exceeds 900 bar. The flow rate is usually 50 l/h, and continuous injection is required.
The possible chemical reactions and their effects must be detected:
The components in crude oil can cause corrosion and fouling. The injection of preservatives and scale inhibitors will help. Due to the chemical reaction of different chemical agents, the mixed use of these additives will neutralize and invalidate the additives to a certain extent.
It should be verified whether the decrease in the amount of preservative injection will cause the residue of acidic components in the crude oil, because the acidity of the crude oil will destroy the scaling.
Centralized distribution of preservatives:
If the preservative is supplied to several injection points from a central location, we must consider the use of shunts. This only requires the installation of a large pump to provide full flow and a multi-point distribution system.
The flow is distributed to different injection points through small valves and pressure compensation systems. In any case, this solution is relatively better in terms of space requirements, but each injection point actually requires a separate control system. Moreover, the injected medium must be very pure, otherwise it will be very easy to get stuck due to the tight tolerance between the parts of the pressure compensation valve.
High-purity media and small-sized piping components are very sensitive to fluctuations in viscosity and pressure.
