1. Overview

Air preheater is an important auxiliary equipment of thermal power plant boilers. It is generally a heat exchange device that uses the heat of flue gas to heat the air required for combustion. The air preheater recovers the heat of the flue gas and reduces the exhaust gas temperature. At the same time, because the air is preheated, the initial temperature of the fuel and air is increased, the fuel and combustion process is strengthened, and the incomplete fuel loss is reduced. Improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler. At the same time, air preheating can also increase the flue gas temperature in the furnace and strengthen the radiant heat transfer in the furnace. Air preheater has become an important part of modern boilers.

The problem of ash blocking in air preheaters is widespread in power plants across the country. Although the original design of the boiler is equipped with soot blowing and water flushing devices, the ash fouling of the air preheater cannot be effectively removed. When re-ignited, the moist ash fouling is burned into "bricks", which makes the ash blocking more serious. The preheater is blocked by ash, which causes the boiler exhaust gas temperature to rise, the hot air temperature to drop, the resistance of the air and smoke system rises, and the pressure difference between the positive pressure side of the air supply side and the negative pressure side of the suction air increases, thereby increasing the air leakage rate of the air preheater. In severe cases, the suction fan is fully opened and has no regulating capacity, and it is difficult to maintain the negative pressure in the furnace, which affects the input of the automatic combustion device. Therefore, effective cleaning of the air preheater is the requirement of safety, energy saving and civilized production. The corresponding cleaning process is specially formulated. The general working time is about one week, and the descaling rate can reach more than 95%. This cleaning technology is also fully suitable for cleaning tubular air preheaters.

2. Physical cleaning method and cleaning process

1. Use ordinary tap water to pressurize it to 40-80Mpa by a high-pressure pump for cleaning.

2. First, rinse the floating ash with large flow and high pressure water;

3. Use a special high-pressure water gun to repeatedly flush the heat storage element of the air preheater up and down vertically and clean it;

3. Cleaning effect

1. Reduce the resistance of the air preheater, which can be close to the design value of about 1000Pa.

2. Reduce the air leakage rate of the air preheater: Generally, it can be reduced by 5-8%.

3. Lower the exhaust gas temperature: Decrease 8-5 ℃.

4. The hot air temperature rises: 8-5 ℃.

5. Reduce power consumption of suction fan and blower.
